was much surprise at the Football League meeting in Derby last Thursday when one club chairman claimed to have received a multibillion-pound TV deal for EFL sides before outgoing chief executive Shaun Harvey agreed a £595m deal with Sky last November. This was the first anybody had heard of it. Well, the first that everybody except Oldham had heard of it, given Paul Scholes’s (above) side were the only club not to send a representative to the meeting.
