Palace warning to royal trolls

TROLLS targeting the Duchesses of Cambridge and Sussex on royal social media channels could be reported to the police.

Earlier this year Kensington Palace said it was monitoring its accounts on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook after being been inundated with abusive comments, particularly about Kate and Meghan, from rival ‘fans’ of the two women. Now, in conjunction with Buckingham Palace and Clarence House, it has issued a ‘code of conduct’ for users.

Officials say they now reserve the right to send any comments they deem ‘inappropriate’ to ‘law enforcement authorities’.

They added: ‘We ask that anyone engaged with our social media channels show courtesy, kindness and respect for all other members.’
