Why Vogue star is a real-life Barbie girl

VOGUE cover girl Adwoa Aboah has been turned into a Barbie doll to mark International Women’s Day tomorrow.

‘ Seeing my own doll that has my skin colour, shaved head, freckles and my tattoos is beyond mad,’ says Adwoa, 26. ‘I spent the majority of my childhood wishing for blonde hair, pining over Barbie’s light skin and blue eyes. I didn’t feel like I was represented anywhere. But today I feel so very proud.’
