Olivia’s Broadchurch pal toasts her Oscar triumph

TALKING POINT: Olivia Colman was reunited with her Broadchurch co-star, a kilt-clad David Tennant, at the National Theatre’s Up Next Gala — her first outing since she won the Oscar for Best Actress for her role in The Favourite.

DARING: Wearing Gucci from head to toe, actress Cate Blanchett dazzled in a high-necked green silk blouse, gold snakeskin-print leather blazer, emerald green PVC bootcut trousers and scarlet stilettos.

RELIEF: Comedian Sir Lenny Henry has relaxed his strict health regime. ‘People got upset because I lost a lot of weight last year — it was like I’d killed their parent or something,’ he tells me during the bash on London’s South Bank. ‘But I’ve put a bit of weight on, so people are much happier now.’

BLUSHING: Actor Charles Dance was delighted to be called a silver fox. ‘I’m quite flattered by that,’ he admits. ‘Better to be looked over than overlooked, darling.’
