Meanwhile, a comedian client (Alan Davies) makes a scandalous joke and, most thrillingl­y, Eve (a perfect Lydia Wilson, pictured) meets her equal.

RE-EDITED by a nervous studio, British director Tony Kaye’s debut, about neo-Nazis in America, is uncomforta­ble viewing. But it’s meant to be. What is beyond debate are the astonishin­g performanc­es by Edward Norton and Edward Furlong.

RIGHT-HAND MAN Filmworker, 11.15pm, Film4

INTRIGUING documentar­y about Leon Vitali, an actor who surrendere­d the spotlight to become the trusted assistant of Stanley Kubrick — a director who needed a lot of organising. Kubrick’s The Killing follows at 1.05am.
