Remember all the victims

-

WHAT has made everyone suddenly take notice of knife crime after the deaths of two white teenagers? Many black children have met the same fate over the past few years.

My body freezes every time I hear of another stabbing and I pray for the safety of my eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Can you imagine getting that phone call to say your child is bleeding to death in the street? or standing at a hospital bed waiting for them to draw their last breath?

this is not a black problem or a white problem, it is one that needs every parent, teacher, police officer, politician and council to come together. We must do something now to honour those who have been killed and protect other teenagers.

the general consensus seems to be that every black teenager is into drugs or gangs. that is not the case. But even those who are do not deserve to be knifed to death.
