ALFA Financial Software shares surged 21pc higher after the firm said its prospects were improving.

Despite posting a 30pc fall in profits to £18.2m for 2018, Alfa said its second-half sales had picked up and revealed it was in talks with a potential new customer.

The share price rally came after a near-70pc slump in value in the past year.

Yesterday Alfa Financial’s shares rocketed 19.8pc, or 24.4p, to 147.6p.
