FARAH FUELS TRACK RETURN TALK

- RIATH AL-SAMARRAI

SIR MO FARAH has given his strongest indication yet he will run the 10,000metres instead of the marathon at the World Championships in October. Coach Gary Lough hinted at a shock track return last year and 35-year-old Farah (right) is now leaning towards a tilt at a fourth 10,000m world title in Doha. He said: ‘It all depends on the result in the London Marathon in April. Watching the European Indoors last week, I was thinking, “Oh man, I want to get back out

?? ?? there”. If things are going well and I’ve got a chance to win a 10km medal, I’d love to come back and run for my country, but my aim now is the marathon. ‘Part of me when I watch track races is like, “Can I still do it? I want to do it”.’Farah also admitted he misses the atmosphere of track racing, heightened by watching Laura Muir win two golds at the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow. He said: ‘I miss it, that sort of atmosphere Laura got. You get it in the London Marathon more than anything else but I do miss the track, I do miss representing my country.’
