The spaniel that loves to fetch... litter, that is!
AN OLD dog and new tricks? Not in this case – Lulu’s been learning this skill since she was fresh out of the, erm... litter.
The sprocker spaniel helps clean up her local park – by fetching dumped waste like plastic bottles. The springer and cocker spaniel cross was trained by owner Gary Langley from a pup and spends up to three hours every Sunday lending a helping paw.
Careful to steer clear of glass, she will even avoid bottles and cans with liquid in them. Retired salesman Mr Langley, from Tonbridge, Kent, said: ‘She jumps around and loves doing it. It’s a walk well spent.’
