Ronnie rockets to 1,000 ton breaks
RONNIE O’SULLIVAN last night became the first player to make 1,000 career century breaks as he clinched a 10-4 victory in the Players Championship final in Preston against Neil Robertson. The five-time world snooker champ made two in the first session, before bringing up his 1,000 with a 134-break that sealed the win. Mike Watterson the man who brought the World Championship to the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield, has died. He was 76. Watterson moved the event there after his wife noticed while watching a play that it could be an ideal snooker venue.
