RUGBY’S politics have been a hot topic recently so it was appropriate that the EU’s chief negotiator, Michel Barnier (right), was at the Aviva Stadium for Ireland’s victory over France. He met with Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, although it is unlikely the promotion and relegation debate was on the agenda.
