CACI ELECTRICAL SKIN TIGHTENER

-

ThIS won’t make a permanent change to your looks, but will give a temporary improvement. A low-level electrical current is passed through face muscles to make them contract, which helps to coax them into a neater, tighter shape.

The CACI Synergy treatment combines facelifting electrical microcurrents with LeD light therapy to reduce pigmentation and brighten skin.

WHAT IS IT? Long metal prongs with smooth tips are placed on the face at either end of each muscle targeted. As the microcurrents move through the muscle, it contracts, improving blood flow in the skin, too. Then there’s light treatment, involving red light to calm inflammation and stimulate production of firming collagen, and blue light to bring down bacteria levels.

WHAT IT FEELS LIKE: It’s tingly and I get a metallic taste in my mouth.

PAIN LEVEL: 2 — it feels mildly electrical, but not uncomfortable.

VERDICT: A terrific result. All those tiny microcurrents achieved a noticeable effect, lifting and smoothing my face. My skin looks impressively glowing for a week. I’m told if I did a course of treatment, I’d see longer-lasting results.

COST AND LOCATION: From £90, at salons nationwide ( caci-international.co.uk).
