Modern day Angels . . . in black leather
NEARLY half a century after the original Charlie’s Angels series hit TV screens, the British aristocratic daughter of model-turned-chef Lorraine Pascale is leading the new generation.
Ella Balinska, 22, whose father is Polish musician Count Kaz BalinskiJundzill, posed for the first official shoot with her fellow leading ladies, Kristen Stewart, 28, and Naomi Scott, 25, who is on the cover of April’s British Vogue.
The reboot, released this autumn, has been directed by Hunger Games star Elizabeth Banks.
Scott, who is married to Ipswich Town footballer Jordan Spence, says the new film will be a modern update of the 1976 TV series, which starred Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson and Farrah Fawcett as the private detective trio.
‘It’s about women at work,’ says Scott. ‘You don’t see much of their personal lives or who they’re dating. It’s about the agency going global, getting into intelligence and tech, whistleblowing.
‘You don’t see bikini shots of their bums.’
