Unilever chief was paid £10m
EX-UNILEVER boss Paul Polman was paid £10m in his final year at the firm.
Polman’s bumper pay package comes after he was forced to abandon plans to move Unilever’s headquarters from London to Rotterdam following a massive shareholder revolt.
Unilever, which has a dual listing in London and Rotterdam, is behind many household brands, including Marmite, Dove, Lynx and Magnum ice cream.
Polman, 62, was given a salary of £1.4m, with the remainder of his award made up of a £1.6m bonus, share-based incentives and other benefits.
The father of three stepped down from the top job at the end of last year after almost a decade in the role.
