New home for dog dumped by side of road
IT WAS the Christmas video which broke hearts across the world.
Millions watched Snoop the Staffordshire bull terrier chase desperately after a car when he was cruelly dumped by the side of the road last year – oddly, along with his dog bed.
Despite jumping up at the windows and wagging his tail, the dog’s owner drove off into the night without looking back in Stoke-on-Trent on December 17.
Thousands of potential owners, including US rapper Snoop Dogg, offered to take him in after the RSPCA shared CCTV footage of the distressing scene online.
But Snoop finally has a safe home – in Herefordshire with new owner Laurence Squire. Mr Squire, whose previous Staffie died in November, said the pair ‘bonded instantly’ after he saw the story and contacted the RSPCA. The inquiry into who dumped Snoop is continuing.
