Easy-access deals edge up

-

CASH Isa rates on easy- access accounts have edged up slightly. Today Paragon Bank launches its online Limited Edition Easy Access Isa at 1.45 pc.

OakNorth Bank already pays 1.45 pc on its online account while in the High Street Kent Reliance pays a top 1.4 pc.

There are slightly better rates around, but watch for catches.

For example, Santander’s 1.5 pc rate on its online e-Isa available to Select or 123 account customers drops to as little as 0.35 pc after a year. Coventry BS also pay 1.5 pc with a bonus of 0.35 percentage points payable for the first 12 months.

At Virgin Money, the Double Take E-Isa pays 1.45 pc but only lets you take money out twice a year.
