IT’S been ten years since a group of nine celebrities including Gary Barlow, Alesha Dixon and Denise Van Outen scaled Africa’s highest mountain for Comic Relief. This y year, nine more stars will be taking on the challenge — along a different, longer route that involves spending more time at high altitude. Alexander Armstrong will have to conquer his fear of heights, while Shirley Ballas is expecting to play ‘mother hen’ to fellow climbers Ed Balls, Leigh-Ann Pinnock, Osi Umenyiora, Anita Rani, Dani Dyer, Dan Walker, and Jade Thirlwall (pictured).
