Car giants start afresh
CAR makers Nissan, Renault and Mitsubishi have pledged to renew their alliance, four months after former boss Carlos Ghosn was arrested.
There were fears the car giants would not be able to work together without Ghosn who headed the alliance between the Japanese and French companies.
A new board, including the chief executives of each company will meet every month, and be led by Renault’s chairman, JeanDominique Senard.
Ghosn was arrested in Japan in November and charged with financial misconduct and hiding millions of pounds of payments at Nissan. He denies the charges and was released on bail this month.
