Watchdog upholds 90pc of TSB gripes
ALMOST 90pc of customer complaints about TSB bank were upheld by regulators in the second half of 2018, damning new figures show.
A total of 5,764 people complained to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) about their treatment by TSB – and it found in their favour 89pc of the time.
This was the highest uphold rate among the ten most-complained-about banks.
It is a major blow for TSB, which is fighting to save its reputation after an IT meltdown last April locked 1.9m customers out of their accounts and sparked a wave of fraud.
A TSB spokesman said the firm has now resolved 98pc of complaints since the IT disaster. Customers can appeal to the FOS if they think a bank has not dealt properly with their concerns.
