Cyber firm boss to retire in June
THE boss of cyber security giant Avast is quitting less than a year after its blockbuster £2.4bn float on London Stock Exchange.
Vince Steckler, 60, retires at the end of June after a decade in charge, the company said.
His departure was announced as Avast reported its sales for 2018 rose from £496.4m to £614.6m, with profits rising from £94.5m to £188.8m.
He will be replaced by Ondrej Vlcek, who is president of the consumer business.
