Sarri’s injury fears over Kiev’s ‘disaster’ of a pitch

- ADAM CRAFTON

CHELSEA boss Maurizio Sarri has described the pitch for tonight’s Europa League fixture at Dynamo Kiev as a ‘disaster’ and warned it may lead to injuries. Chelsea won the first leg 3-0 last week but the club could make an official complaint to UEFA as the pitch is breaking up in parts and frozen in areas. Sarri said: ‘A disaster. The pitch is not good. It’s really dangerous for injuries. I cannot understand why UEFA are so [concerned] about having to present the player list at a certain minute, but then we have to play on such a bad pitch.’ Meanwhile Zinedine Zidane’s return as Real Madrid boss has fuelled belief that Eden Hazard will head to Spain in the summer. Sarri said: ‘You know my opinion: I want in my team only the players who want to play for Chelsea.’
