Girl of eight’s threat to stab police with this blade

A GIRL of eight took a kitchen knife into her primary school and threatened to stab an officer in the heart when police turned up.

The child was also said to have brandished the weapon at teachers during a lesson last month.

The class was immediately evacuated by staff. But when police arrived at the school in the pretty spa town of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, the girl issued her chilling warning to community support officer Matt Murphy. Posting a photo of the nine-inch knife, right, on Twitter, he revealed: ‘An eight-year-old took this knife into school and made threats. When I arrived the child told me they would stab me in the heart.’ Police said the incident was ‘brought to a safe conclusion’ without injury.

The girl will face no action as she is under the age of criminal responsibility.
