THE FA will pay homage to England legend Gordon Banks, who died last month aged 81, during next Friday’s Euro 2020 qualifier against the Czech Republic.

LEEDS owner Andrea Radrizzani paid tribute to the club’s former chairman Bill Fotherby, who has died aged 88 while on holiday with his family in Tenerife. Radrizzani said he was ‘truly honoured’ to have met the ‘inspiratio­nal’ Fotherby last year.

÷ BIRMINGHAM and Aston Villa have been charged with failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion in Sunday’s Championsh­ip match. In a game that saw a fan assault Villa’s Jack Grealish, players were also involved in an early scuffle that resulted in an FA charge. The clubs must respond by Monday.
