... as women make history
BRYONY Frost made history yesterday as she became the first British female jockey to win a Grade 1 race at the Cheltenham Festival.
Miss Frost, 2 , daughter of Grand National-winning jockey Jimmy, wiped away tears of joy after Frodon clinched the Ryanair Chase in front of 70,000 fans.
She said: ‘He’s Pegasus – he has wings!’ Lizzie Kelly, 26, later became the second woman to win on the day as Siruh Du Lac triumphed in a Grade handicap race.
