Boohoo gets new chief

A FORMER Primark director has joined Boohoo as chief executive as the online retailer undertakes a major shake-up of its boardroom.

John Lyttle was appointed to a role that could see him earn as much as £50m in rewards, making him one of the best- paid bosses in retail. he could get the bumper payout if he oversees a 180pc increase in Boohoo’s share price over the next five years. he joins after eight years as the chief operating officer of Primark.

Boohoo’s founders and joint chief executives Mahmud Kamani and carol Kane have taken up new board positions following Lyttle’s arrival. chairman Peter Williams has left and the firm is still looking to appoint two non-executive directors.
