OWEN’S ROGUE SHOULDER

WITH the scores tied at 31-31 Owen Farrell smashed into Scotland’s Darcy Graham. However, the TMO decided that Farrell wasn’t leading with his shoulder. The incident wasn’t the first time Farrell has been caught up in a row over the use of his shoulders. Twice in last year’s autumn Tests he was accused of not using his arms when tackling and instead leading with his shoulder. Against South Africa and Australia he smashed into players with his shoulder first. Despite on-field protests, he went unpunished.
