Pope to be Burnley’s No 1 number three!
SEAN DYCHE is considering recalling Nick Pope in what would be Burnley’s second goalkeeper change this season. Tom Heaton regained his No 1 spot from Joe Hart in December and Dyche’s side collected 18 points from his first eight games back. But Burnley have now lost four games in a row, conceding 11 times, to slip to 17th, although Heaton is back in the England squad. Burnley are two points above Cardiff having played a game more and Dyche is considering bringing back Pope for the visit of Wolves on Saturday week. The 26-year-old starred last season to win a World Cup place but suffered a shoulder injury in last July’s Europa League tie at Aberdeen. He returned in December but has only played in Burnley’s two FA Cup ties since.
