Council tax scam

HOMEOWNERS are being targeted by fraudsters offering council tax refunds. The emails, purporting to be from the ‘Council Tax and Payroll Service’, include a link to a genuine-looking government website designed to steal your details. Action Fraud says it has had more than 100 reports of this scam.
