You must be bored of me!

Price cracks joke as she turns up at court for the THIRD time this year

- By Christian Gysin

KATIE Price yesterday went to court for the third time this year as she denied using abusive and threatening behaviour outside a school in a row with her ex-partner’s girlfriend.

The former glamour model turned up for the hearing in sunglasses, a fur coat, a black Cossack-style hat and black trousers, and was accompanied by a female friend.

A camera crew in a blacked-out Mercedes van also followed her to film her arrival and departure from Crawley Magistrates’ Court.

Speaking to photographers outside the building, she joked: ‘You must be bored of me now.’ When they replied, ‘never, Katie’, she responded: ‘Never a dull moment, eh?’

Price, 40, faces a single charge of using threatening and abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in the nearby village of Shipley on September 6 last year.

She is accused of confronting Michelle Penticost, 37, the new partner of her estranged husband Kieran Hayler, and shouting at her: ‘Are you enjoying ******* my husband?’

Price, who lives near Horsham in West Sussex, held a mobile phone in the witness box. When asked for her plea, she replied: ‘Definitely not guilty.’ Prosecutor Georgina Kent told the court that the former model is accused of having a verbal altercation with Miss Penticost and another woman in the playground of a primary school.

The alleged offence is said to have been witnessed by two teachers.

Price, who has two young children with Mr Hayler, was told she was being released on bail until she stands trial at Horsham Magistrates’ Court on June 3.

She was criticised by District Judge Amanda Kelly last week after she failed to attend a court hearing because she was on holiday in Thailand with her current boyfriend Kris Boyson.

The district judge adjourned the case until yesterday after saying that Price had shown ‘ a lack of respect for the whole court system’.

When reminded by chairman of the bench Serena Stewart yesterday of the importance of attending her June court date, Miss Price replied: ‘I will definitely be attending – don’t worry about that.’ Price’s lat- est court appearance came a day after Boyson attended a separate hearing in Medway, Kent, accused of threatening a police officer after a row with a photographer.

Since the start of the year, reality star Price, who is said to have severe financial difficulties, has been ordered to pay more than £3,000 in court costs and fines.

Last month, she was given a three-month driving ban for being nearly twice over the alcohol limit while in charge of her pink Range Rover. She was also told to pay £2,425, including a £1,500 fine. In a separate prosecution in January, she was similarly banned after admitting driving while disqualified and ordered to pay a £1,100 fine plus court costs.
