POGBA DREAMS OF MADRID MOVE

-

PAUL POGBA says joining Real Madrid would be ‘a dream’. The Manchester United midfielder almost moved to Barcelona last summer after agent Mino Raiola negotiated a five-year deal worth £89.5m, but United refused to sell the 26-year-old. ‘I’ve always said Real Madrid is a dream for anyone. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world,’ said Pogba ahead of France’s Euro 2020 qualifiers against Moldova and Iceland. ‘For now, I’m at Manchester. We don’t know what the future holds. I’m at Manchester and I’m happy.’

CHRIS WHEELER MICHAEL O’NEILL admits it is ‘essential’ that Northern Ireland get their Euro 2020 campaign off to a winning start against Estonia tonight and Belarus on Sunday, with Germany and Holland also in their group. ‘It’s essential really,’ he admitted. ‘The players are under no illusion. These are two of our easier games. We have to do everything possible to win.’ N IRELAND (4-2-3-1): Peacock-Farrell; Dallas, Cathcart, J Evans, Lewis; C Evans, Saville; McGinn, Davis, Jones; Boyce. Referee: Ivan Bebek (Cro). Kick-off: 7.45pm, Windsor Park. TV: LIVE on Sky Sports from 7.30pm.
