So you can understand why Chinese police might want two of kunming wolfdog Huahuangma. And now their wish has come true … for three-month-old Kunxun, who’s been cloned from the ‘Sherlock Holmes of sniffer dogs’, has just reported for duty. Officers in Pu’er, south-west China, hired biotech firm Sinogene to clone their star sniffer, who found a hotel key that tied a killer to a crime scene. An embryo with Huahuangma’s DNA was implanted in a surrogate Beagle. Kunxun, pictured, will start work after seven months’ training.
