DAVE WEBB’S playing career began in 1963 at Orient where son Danny is now first-team coach.

Dave moved to Southampton in 1966 before joining Chelsea two years later, where he won the 1970 FA Cup and 1971 CupWinners’ Cup. His two decades in management included successful spells at Southend and a stint at the Blues in 1993.

Danny, also a defender, played for 17 clubs including Southend and Cambridge before retiring in 2014. He joined Orient as Under 14s coach and had a brief spell as manager in 2017.
