Emma plots Night with Bojo

VIEWERS might be dozing off by the time Newsnight comes on, but new host Emma Barnett is determined to perk them up.

‘I‘m really looking forward to getting on some decent guests,’ she tells me at the private view of Beyond The Invisible, Rankin’s latest photography exhibition at La Galleria Pall Mall. Barnett, 34, will join Emily Maitlis and Kirsty Wark in the all-women line-up on the BBC’s flagship current affairs programme.

‘I think we do need to hear from the next leader of the Conservative Party, so I’ve personally set my sights on getting Boris Johnson. Two blondes together will be lots of fun.’ Cripes!
