Nelson ready to fire for U21s

- DOMINIC KING

REISS NELSON believes a season in Germany can help him make England’s attack more explosive. The Arsenal winger is on loan at Hoffenheim and set up Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s goal in the Under 21s’ 1-1 draw with Poland on Thursday. ‘There have been ups and downs but you get that in football,’ said Nelson, who will face Germany’s Under 21s in Bournemouth on Tuesday. ‘This is my first year playing professionally — I want to go to the very top but it’s important to stay grounded. ‘I’m more explosive now off the ball. I don’t just need the ball into my feet, I can run in behind and it’s helping a lot.’
