EASY CHEESY SCONES

MAKES 12 SCONES

1. Grease and line two baking trays with greaseproo­f paper and preheat the oven to 200c/180c fan/gas 6.

2. Sieve the flour into a bowl and mix in the grated cheese, holding back a handful to sprinkle on top of the scones.

3. Stir in the yoghurt and mix until combined into a damp dough.

4. Using a dessert spoon or slightly wet hands, space out mounds of the dough on the baking trays, six per sheet. Keep the mounds high, as they flatten during cooking. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.

5. Bake for 25 minutes until golden brown, rotating the trays half-way through. Serve hot, topped with chutney, Marmite or more cheese.
