TO MAINTAIN bone strength, try a weight-bearing exercise such as a walking squat, says celebrity personal trainer, Nadya Fairweather ( u-shape.co.uk).
Squat, with feet wide, then step feet together into a narrow squat; step out to the right, feet wide and squat, and step, feet together into a narrow squat. Go as far as you can to the right. Then repeat the same number going to the left, alternate between feet wide and feet close together.
Ensure that your bottom sticks out and knees follow the line of your toes. Look ahead with hands on hips or across your chest — and breathe!
