TROUBLE BREWED FROM THE START FOR BOSS SCHOLES
MORE details have emerged that make you wonder how Paul Scholes lasted even 31 days as manager of Oldham Athletic. On his first day in charge there were complaints about a lack of hot water for the players for their post-training showers and the club coffee machine had apparently disappeared. A club spokesman has admitted an issue with the generator meant the water was ‘lukewarm’, while the ‘second-hand’ coffee machine did indeed break down. Scholes (right) joked at his first press conference that he was going to get a coffee unless the machine had ‘been repossessed’ and was understandably unimpressed when his quip came true.
