Goldman girls lose out
WOMEN at Goldman Sachs International earn on average 51pc less than men.
According to figures released ahead of the deadline for large firms to report their gender pay gap, the US investment bank also revealed its bonus awards for men are 66.7pc higher than women’s.
However, the numbers represent an improvement on a year earlier, when hourly pay and bonus gaps were 55.5pc and 72.2pc respectively.
Chief executive Richard Gnodde said although Goldman pays equally for equal work, there is ‘much more we need to do to ensure we have a diversity of talent at all levels’.
All firms with 250 or more staff have to publish their gender pay gap by April 4.
