‘The Amur leopard is the rarest cat on Earth’

SIR DAVID ATTENBOROUGH says the new Netflix show Our Planet, which he narrates, is probably the most important thing he’s ever done. Made in association with WWF and out on April 5, the eight-part series journeys across the different terrains of Earth to reveal how deeply dependent they are on each other. It also shows what a mess we’ve made of them. But there is hope — if we act together it’s not too late to fix things. ‘This series celebrates the natural wonders that remain, and shows what to preserve to ensure people and nature thrive,’ says Sir David, an ambassador for WWF, in the show. ‘What we do in the next 20 years will determine the future of all life on Earth.’ Our Planet also takes us closer than ever to some of the world’s most endangered species. All this week in these special pullouts, we’ll be introducing you to them and, with the help of WWF, telling you how you can help save them. Today it’s the orangutan, Amur leopard and snow leopard . . .
