Easy to spot, Mel B after that claim about Geri

IF she wanted to keep a low profile after claiming she had a one-night stand with bandmate Geri Horner, Melanie Brown picked a strange way to go about it.

Dressed head-to-toe in leopard print, she arrived in Los Angeles with daughter Phoenix Chi Gulzar, 20, who appeared to have copied Scary Spice’s eye-catching style.

Miss Brown, 43, insisted that she has smoothed things over with Ginger Spice following her revelation that they slept together at the height of their fame in the Nineties.

She said her claim, made on Friday, had been blown out of proportion and that she has spoken to Mrs Horner, 46, by telephone.

‘I didn’t actually really admit anything,’ Miss Brown told an Australian radio show. ‘I just said we had a “thing”. It was one of those things that happened one night. We giggled about it the next day.’

Quashing speculation that her revelation, during a TV interview with Piers Morgan, has caused a rift in the band ahead of their reunion tour this summer, she said: ‘I texted her and said I admitted that we had a little thing so don’t worry about it … I didn’t go into detail and it was pre your husband and pre your babies and mine. She texted me then we spoke at length.’

However, an insider told the Daily Mail that the revelation had not gone down well with Mrs Horner, who is married to Formula One team boss Christian Horner.
