Froome rides on after suffering painful crash

Chris Froome was caught up in a crash on stage two of the Volta a Catalunya. The four-time Tour de France winner fell in the last 40km of the 166.7km stage from mataro to sant Feliu De Guixols. The Team sky rider had some painful road rash and bleeding from his right elbow. he finished 14 minutes behind stage winner michael matthews. Froome is supporting teammate egan Bernal while getting some miles in his legs. Lotto -soudal’s Thomas De Gendt leads the race.
