THE new Netflix series Our Planet, narrated by Sir David Attenborough and released on April 5, is the largest project of its kind ever attempted. Made in association with WWF, it not only reveals some of the natural world’s most wondrous sights for the first time on TV, it also carries a stark message — if we don’t start to clean up our act now the Earth may never recover. ‘For the first time in human history, the stability of nature can no longer be taken for granted,’ says Sir David, an ambassador for WWF, in the opening episode. ‘But the natural world is resilient, and with our help it can recover.’ The series also features stunning footage of some of the world’s most endangered species. All this week we’re introducing you to them in these special pullouts, and with the help of WWF, we’ll tell you how you can help save them. Today it’s the turn of the lion and the giant panda . .
