HOW YOU CAN HELP SAVE THIS ICONIC BEAR
SINCE 1980, WWF has been helping to set up and improve protected areas. These include wildlife corridors to link panda habitats by planting bamboo in degraded areas and encouraging locals to manage forests sustainably.
Giant pandas are elusive, and researchers monitor them by walking through the mountains, recording their paw prints and droppings to build up an accurate map of where they roam.
