... AND HARD BREXITEER WANTS TO BULLDOZE PARLIAMENT!

-

ONE fervent Brexiteer was so enraged by yesterday’s developments that he said he wanted to ‘bulldoze’ Parliament.

Steve Baker said he would resign as a Tory rather than vote for the PM’s deal.

He became so emotional that fellow MPs were moved to give him a consoling hug. One witness said Mr Baker, deputy leader of the European Research Group, admitted being ‘consumed with a ferocious rage’.

‘There was an enormous standing ovation for Steve Baker tonight,’ said the source. ‘His voice was cracking with emotion, so much so that at the end he was hugged by Jacob [Rees-Mogg] and others. We are not a hugging group.’

Mr Baker was reported to have told ERG members: ‘I could tear this place down and bulldoze it into the river. These fools and knaves and cowards are voting on things they don’t even understand.

‘We’ve been put in this place by people whose addiction to power without responsibility has led them to put the choice of No Brexit or this deal. I may yet resign the whip rather than be part of this.’

He added: ‘What is our liberty for if not to govern ourselves?’
