Did Oasis star Noel’s ex bag herself a freebie?

THERE was a time when Meg Mathews, ex-wife of millionaire Oasis musician Noel Gallagher, used to buy expensive designer handbags. Not any more.

‘The other day I went into Prada — the bags there are £2,000,’ she tells me at the launch of Ama Bags at Caviar House & Prunier in Piccadilly. ‘And I thought: “No! Those days have gone.” I am much more level-headed now. So I didn’t buy one.’

Meg was clutching a £650 Ama bag designed by her pal Anastasiia Masiutkina D’Ambrosio.

Was it a freebie? A spokesman for Mathews tells me: ‘Meg is really good friends with Anastasiia and whatever arrangement they had I have no idea.’
