Terrible pain led to suicide
A MOTHER of two fitted with a mesh implant by Tony Dixon killed herself because she was left in such terrible pain.
Lucinda Methuen-Campbell, 58, was also upset that during the same operation to address a problem with her womb and a painful bowel disorder her ovaries were removed without her knowledge.
The procedure, carried out in 2016, is not part of the North Bristol Trust investigation. It is understood that private provider Spire Healthcare has begun its own inquiry.
Swansea Coroner’s Court heard she was found hanged in her home in January last year. The coroner concluded: ‘The pain she was in led to her taking her own life.’
