- By Alisha Rouse Showbusiness Correspondent

SHE has had an extra two months to learn her lines as a broken wrist delayed her West End debut.

But that clearly wasn’t enough time for Louise Redknapp to overcome her first night nerves.

The pop singer was seen clutching a prompt sheet disguised as a prop as she finally took to the stage in the Dolly Parton musical 9 To 5.

Printed dialogue and handwritten stage instructions could clearly be seen on a clipboard she was carrying as she played office supervisor Violet Newstead.

Miss Redknapp, 44, had d been due to take up her role e when the show – which also o stars Brian Conley, Bonnie e Langford and amber Davies – opened at the savoy Theatre at the end of January. But she fractured her wrist in a fall on her way to rehearsals. she also sustained a cut to her chin that required stitches.

she said she had watched performances while she was recovering from her injuries.

‘I carried on being part of it. I’ve seen the show a lot and I worked with the director on his days off and the last couple of days I’ve been coming in,’ she told the London Evening standard. ‘Everyone has been great. I made great friends the first time I started rehearsals and I never came off any of the group chats.

‘They’ve all given up their days off to rehearse with me. I’ve been very much involved, just not on stage.’ Miss Redknapp, who this week released her first single for 16 years, is relaunching her showbusiness career having fallen back in love with performing while competing in strictly Come Dancing in 2016.

Her desire to restart her career is rumoured to have been a factor in her divorce in 2017 from former footballer Jamie Redknapp, 45.

They have two sons, Charley, ley, 14, and Beau, ten.
