Racist tweets condemned by Taylor

CHARLTON striker Lyle Taylor has condemned a BRADFORD fan for ‘another example of ignorant, small-minded racism’ after receiving abuse on Twitter. Taylor flagged up as ‘pathetic’ four tweets aimed at him that consisted of banana emojis from an account @BantamRealTalk sent following Bradford’s 1-0 defeat at The Valley on Saturday. @BantamRealTalk also replied to a tweet of Taylor’s with the comment: ‘And you wonder why fans come on to the pitch and attack absolute muppet’. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: ‘Any allegations of racist abuse will be taken seriously and we would encourage anyone who witnesses inappropriate behaviour to report it to police.’ Taylor had scored the only goal of the game, which edged Bradford closer to relegation.
