CHIVES

A member of the allium family, like garlic, chives are easy to grow from seed and become long-lived perennials. The flowers are beautiful and edible but cut plants back right to the ground as soon as the blooms start to fade and they will quickly throw up new shoots. This can be repeated every four weeks or so throughout the growing season.
