Britain’s Got Talent – the real competition
Judges renew their rivalry in dressing-up
THE return of Britain’s Got Talent has been marked by some serious competition for attention – not from the contestants, but from the judges.
Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon went all out on the glamour front as they promoted the new series, which begins on Saturday.
Miss Holden, 48, showed off her figure in a dramatically daring diamante gown with a fishtail train.
Not to be outdone, 40-year-old Miss Dixon dazzled in an equally plunging silver gown with a thigh-high split.
Mother- of- two Miss Holden has become notorious for appearing on the family show in a range of skimpy outfits. One particularly revealing dress, worn for the series finale in 2017, saw watchdog Ofcom receive 216 complaints in 48 hours.
Despite some viewers comparing Miss Holden to a stripper, Ofcom said the episode didn’t warrant further investigation because her outfit ‘would not have exceeded most viewers’ expectations’.
The new series begins on ITV at 7.15pm on Saturday, with Ant McPartlin back on screen following his drinkdrive conviction and reunited with his presenting partner Declan Donnelly.
